CAMEROON

President Paul Biya sworn in for 8th term

Cameroon’s 92 years old incumbent president His Excellency Paul Biya was sworn in for another seven-year 8th term on November 06 2025 while opposition leader and self-proclaimed president Issa Tchiroma Bakary remains under lockdown. 48 anti-Biya protesters have been reported killed by law enforcement.

TANZANIA

Samia Suluhu Hassan sworn in as presidnt of Tanzania

After several days of unrest in Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan was sworn for a second term in office on November 03 2025. The ceremony was made closed to the public with very tight security. Samia was declared the winner with 98% vote. 10 people have been reported killed in three different cities during protests.

Donald Trump set to fight terrorism in Nigeria

USA President Donald Trump set to fight terrorism in Nigeria over reports of the persecution of Christians by Fulani herdsmen in Benue state, North Central region of Nigeria. Many Nigerians on social media are saying trump should focus on fixing the drug problems in Philadelphia, USA.

SOUTHERN AFRICA DEVELOPMENT COMMUNITY (SADC)

South Africa’s president Cyril ‘Cupcake’ Ramaphosa has been selected as the interim chairperson of SADC after political unrest in Madagascar that saw Andry Rajoelina fled the country. Ramaphosa will hold the position until August 2026 to finish the term originally assigned to Madagascar. 

SOUTH AFRICA

Donald Trump set to fight terrorism in Nigeria

USA president Donald Trump has threatened to boycott G20 summit to be hosted in South Africa from November 22 to November 23 2025 citing ill treatment of white farmers. Trump strongly believes that white farmers who have been victims to robberies gone wrong and lost their lives were racially targeted by black South Africans for a kill. 

UGANDA

President Yoweri Museveni hints retirement after 2026 election

Ugandan president Yoweri Museveni has admitted his government arrested and held Kenyan activists Bob Njagi and Nicholas Oyoo who were missing in the country for five weeks. The pair have been accused of being experts in riots who visited Uganda to destablise government efforts towards a peaceful 2026 presidential election.

ZAMBIA

Zambia President Hakainde Hichilema

A video circulating on social media shows Zambian president, Hakainde Hichilema  being pelted with stones by unknown individuals. The incident occurred while he was addressing residents of Chingola after visiting the recently gutted Chiwempala market.
