A double homicide and one suicide incident shocks residents of Greenstone Gate and Greenstone Ridge complexes in Greenstone Hill. 

According to sources, around 7pm yesterday, a lesbian woman of Indian origin in her 40s went to her brother’s apartment in Greenstone Gate complex where she occupied his firearm and shot him three times. 

After the Greenstone Gate incident, she proceeded to Greenstone Ridge Complex where she killed her Indian girlfriend and took her own life with the same gun.

Sources say the killer and her brother previously shared the apartment in Greenstone Ridge before he relocated to Greenstone Gate when his sister’s girlfriend moved in from Durban.

A source confirmed that the murdered victims were having a secret romantic relationship which angered the killer.

South African Police Service (SAPS) from Edenvale police station, Nightguard Security company and ER24 Medical Care members were deployed to the crime scene.

Residents of the Greenstone Gate and Greenstone Ridge complexes who heard gunshots and ran to crime scene have described the incident as horrific.

Some representatives of Balwin Properties management and Nightguard Security company have reassured residents of their safety.

Names and other personal details of the deceased have been withheld due to ongoing police investigation.
