International soccer star and former Indomitable Lions captain Samuel Eto’o has joined His Excellency president Paul Biya’s campaign team as Local Campaign Commission vice-president of the ruling party, Cameroon’s People Democratic Movement (CPDM).

Eto’o welcomed his appointment by president Biya with a jaw-to-jaw smile and a firm handshake.

Eto’o who has been an admirer of the incumbent president for a very long time now has the chance to run around and convince Cameroonians to keep the 92 years old president in power. In 2018, he endorsed Biya’s candidacy during the presidential election.

Eto’s currently serves as the president of Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT), a position he has occupied since December 11 2021 with great results.

He will be serving as local campaign vice-president under CPDM’s section in Ngambe, Sanaga Maritime division, Littoral region.

Sanaga is popular for its great coastline, the Sanaga river, mega tourism projects and other government initiatives underway.
