Whiteman Adrian de Wet who fed black South African women to pigs walks free

In a twist of events involving the brutal killing of two black South African women, Maria Makgato, 45 and Lucia Ndlovu, 34, prosecution in the case has withdrawn murder charges against one of the accused, Adrian de Wet.

De Wet was let off the hook after he turned state witness and told prosecutors that he was forced to participate in killing both women and feed them to pigs at the farm where he worked as supervisor.

In August 2024, De Wet, 20, William Musora, 50 (farm worker and second accused) and Zachariah Johannes Olivier, 60 (farm owner and third accused) shot and took the lives of Makgato and Ndlovu when they trespassed at the pig farm near Polokwane in Northern Limpopo province, South Africa to pick up expired food that was served to the pigs.

According to statements by De Wet and his legal team, he was held under duress by Olivier and ordered to dump the deceased to dispose evidence of the heinous crime they had committed. De wet will remain in protective custody until the trial is over.

Meanwhile outside the courthouse after today’s session, Ms. Makgato’s brother Walter Makgato who was seen very disappointed told the press he does not believe justice will be served.
